Privacy Policy

Klix is a live-event ticketing and fan-engagement platform operated in the United States. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Klix website, checkout, and event experiences. Tickets are issued on behalf of the event organizer; Klix provides the storefront, checkout, and delivery.

Information we collect

Account details. Your email address and, if you choose to receive ticket delivery or alerts by text, your phone number.

Ticket purchases. The events and tickets you buy and the amounts you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe — Klix never stores your full card number; we retain only an order record and the last-four/brand metadata Stripe returns.

Event attendance. Ticket scans, check-ins, and access to live or recorded event streams associated with tickets you hold.

Connected social accounts. If you choose to connect a social platform, we store the access token that platform issues so you can use connected features. You can disconnect at any time, which revokes the stored token.

Forensic watermark identifiers. To deter piracy of live and recorded streams, each viewer's playback may carry a per-viewer watermark identifier that ties a leaked recording back to the account that played it. This identifier is tied to your account and retained with the event record.

How and why we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, process and deliver your ticket purchases, grant event access, send transactional messages (receipts, ticket delivery, and event alerts), prevent fraud and stream piracy, comply with our legal obligations, and operate and improve the platform.

Our legal bases depend on your jurisdiction: performance of our contract with you (delivering tickets and event access), our legitimate interests (security, fraud and piracy prevention, and improving the service), your consent (optional marketing and connected social features), and compliance with legal obligations. Klix detects your privacy regime — for example GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA, or US state laws such as the CCPA — and adjusts consent defaults accordingly.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Klix, and only as needed:

Stripe processes payments and payouts. SignalWire and Resend deliver our SMS and email messages. Social platforms receive data only when you connect them and only to provide the feature you requested. Event organizers receive the order and attendance data necessary to honor your ticket. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Klix, our users, and the public.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After that, we retain records — such as order and tax records — for the period required to meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Connected-platform tokens are deleted when you disconnect the platform or close your account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for optional features. To make a request, email privacy@klixlive.com. We will verify your identity before acting and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

Klix is not directed to children under 13, and a person under 13 cannot create a Klix account (consistent with COPPA). Tickets for a minor are purchased and held by an attending adult's account; we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
